Sandra White has had a lifetime interest in writing, and at one time was a journalist with The Midland Daily News in Midland Michigan. She later entered the training and development field and spent most of her career life in that arena. After her retirement, she resumed writing and has spent the past few years working on articles for magazines, novellas and novels. Her first novel, The Album, was published by The Fiction Works in 2003, and her second, Molly, was released in August 2012, published by Mirror Publishing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She has been published nationally in Chicken Soup for the Sister's Soul, and in regional publications, such as Today's Woman and the Ozark Mountaineer. Cappers' Magazine published one of her novellas, Gussie's Diary, in September and October of 2004, and another, Aunt Beth's Christmas Treasures, in October, November, and December, 2006. The third, Mom's Crazy Quilt, was published by Capper's in 2009. All three novellas have been published for Kindle. In addition, the novella, She's a Winner, and mystery novel, Who Killed the Cook, were published by Amazon for Kindle users.
A native Minnesotan, Sandra (nee Schumann) grew up in Mankato, where she met and married James (Jim) White in 1958. Several career relocations dotted their nearly 47 years of marriage, taking them from Owatonna, Minnesota, to Minneapolis, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Three children brightened their lives: Greg, Alexis, and Nancy.
As Sandra and Jim approached their retirement years, they decided on one last move-to Springfield, Missouri, where all three children and their families eventually joined them. Jim died in 2005. Sandra still resides in Springfield.
